The starting point

  1. The menu only existed as a PDF
  2. In a PDF, the menu is hard to read on a phone
  3. To order, customers read out their order over the phone

What the new website does

  • Every dish with its name, price and description as text
  • Customers put their order together on the website and send it by WhatsApp
  • Quantities and total already written in the message

What we built

What we built for Chef Burger

Six parts that work together, from the first click on Google to the enquiry that reaches the team.

  • The full menu with prices

    94 dishes in ten categories, from burgers and pizzas to Turkish grills, meze and breakfast, with the exact prices from the August 2026 menu. A sold-out dish can no longer be ordered, straight away.

  • Ordering by WhatsApp

    The guest adds dishes to the order and sends it to the restaurant by WhatsApp, already written out and with the total. The order stays on the guest's phone, not on a server.

  • Bookings in three steps

    Day, number of people and a free time slot between 08:00 and 21:30, with a booking code at the end.

  • A bookings page for the team

    With a PIN, the team sees today's and upcoming bookings, confirms, edits, moves them to another day, adds bookings taken by phone or deletes them. It can also block or add time slots and close a day.

  • The chef's story

    A section about Turkish chef Hüseyin Daştan and halal cooking, so guests know who is behind the food.

Technology and SEO

Technology and SEO for Chef Burger

The website was built with Astro and published on Vercel as static pages, with a small API for bookings. The order does not go through the server: it stays on the customer's phone until it is sent by WhatsApp.

Who is the Chef Burger website for?

For customers in Kilamba and Luanda who want to see the menu, order to take away or for delivery, or book a table. The website is in Portuguese and English.

How does ordering by WhatsApp work?

The guest chooses dishes and quantities on the menu. At the end, a button opens WhatsApp with the full order and the total already written out, ready to send to the restaurant. There is no online payment.

Are the prices the ones on the restaurant's menu?

Yes. They come from the restaurant's August 2026 menu and were checked one by one.

What can the team do on the bookings page?

See today's and upcoming bookings, confirm, edit, move them to another day, add bookings taken by phone and delete them. The team can also block or add time slots, mark dishes as sold out and add new dishes to the menu. The page only opens with a PIN.

What technology does the website use?

Astro, with static pages published on Vercel and a small API for bookings. Orders use the WhatsApp the guest already has, with no new app and no payment server.
