Challenge and solution

The challenge: showing everything a printing company does

  • Design
  • Website
  • Quote request
  • Request dashboard

The starting point

  1. Ten production areas, from prepress to envelope inserting
  2. Clients who want to see what the printer does before asking for a price
  3. A print quote needs quantity, format, colours and finishing

What the new website does

  • A page per area, with what is made in each
  • The products and the catalogues in one place
  • A quote request that asks what is needed, step by step

What we built

What we built for Edições de Angola

Six parts that work together, from the first click on Google to the enquiry that reaches the team.

  • Quote in four steps

Service, details, contact and review. The client gives the area, the quantity, the format, the colours, the finishing and the deadline. At the end, the request goes out by e-mail or WhatsApp, already written.

  • Ten production areas

Prepress, letterpress, offset, digital printing, finishing, binding, cartons, labels and tags, packaging and envelope inserting, each with its own page.

  • Products by category

23 products, from corrugated board boxes to magazines and roll-ups, filtered by cartons, packaging, editorial, labels and communication.

  • Request dashboard for the team

Every request moves through eight stages, from new request to delivered, in a table or on a board where it is dragged from stage to stage. The team adds notes and sees at once what needs attention.

  • History, awards and trade fairs

The company's history since 1953, the facilities, the awards and the trade fairs it took part in, each on its own page.

  • Two colours to choose from

The site comes in two versions: copper, in the warm tone of paper, and blue, in the cyan of the logo. The company picks the one it prefers.

Technology and SEO

Technology of the Edições de Angola website

The site was built with Astro and published on Vercel as static pages, so it opens fast on a phone. The forms check the fields in the browser and prepare the message for e-mail or WhatsApp.

  • Structured data for the company (JSON-LD), with the address
  • Portuguese and English, with the same page in the other language
  • Light images in WebP
  • Team dashboard kept out of search engines (noindex)

Who is the Edições de Angola website for?

For companies and institutions that need printing, packaging or labels and want to see what the printer makes before asking for a price. The site is in Portuguese and English.

How does the quote request work?

In four steps: the service, the job details (quantity, format, colours, finishing and deadline), the contact details and a review. At the end, the request goes out by e-mail or WhatsApp, already written.

What does the team dashboard do?

It shows the requests by production stage, from new request to delivered, in a table or on a board. The team changes the stage, adds notes and sees what needs attention. The dashboard does not appear in search engines.

Why does the site come in two colours?

Because the logo has both. We made a copper version and a blue version with the same content, so the company can pick the one that represents it best.

What technology does the website use?

Astro, with static pages published on Vercel. It is fast on a phone and needs no WordPress or plugins.

Can you build a website like this for my company?

Yes. We do the same for printers, factories and industrial companies in Angola: a page per service, the products, a tailored quote request and a simple dashboard for the team. Book a meeting and we will show you how yours would look.
